Creating Smartboard lessons

I over all liked the idea of creating my own lessons on Smartboard, but I didn't like actually creating them from scratch. Although I didn't like doing this assignment I do think that the lesson making could be very useful. I can see how this type of work can be very fun and very exploitative. Especially for a teacher that is looking for a way to create some new assignments.

Here are three slides off of the three lessons I created.

This picture was off my mathematics lesson. In this lesson I had math exercises and fun, active ways to learn math.

This picture from my "What is A Noun" lesson. In this lesson I incorporated games, quiz's, and also fun ways for kids to learn about nouns.

This picture was from my "Shapes" lesson where I used shapes as my main focus. It was for the 1-2 years old age group. I feel that this lesson was probably the most fun and was very easy.

  1. I am not sure about 'exploitative' but lesson creation can be beneficial. It does allow you to really think about what your objective is for the lesson, how students might view the lesson, and it makes you think about how you are organizing the lesson in a constructive way. Is the lesson able to flow? Do students understand the material in the lesson? Is it really interactive? Is it just busy work? Are you meeting the needs of all of the students in the class?
